Light Up Mt. Lookout

A note from the Luminaria planning committee:

Dear Mt. Lookout Business Owners,

The Mt. Lookout Community Council has already begun planning for Luminaria 2007 and based on the success of last year's Light Up Mt. Lookout night, we hope the MLBA and the Observatory will once again be interested in a combined holiday event!

Key dates for Luminaria are as follows:

Early Pack Day November 20, 2007 (this year we have decided to have ~100 kits available earlier in the stores)
Pack Day Saturday, December 8, 2007
Luminaria Burn Night Sunday, December 16, 2007

To make Light Up Mount Lookout night a success, we need your help to start planning and coordinating the below activities:

- Communicate dates to area businesses and ask businesses in the square to keep their doors open on burn night. Should this be 6pm to 9pm?
- Commission Hayride and coordination between MLBA and the Observatory: Need to determine hayride route and pick-up/drop-off location.
- Coordination of police detail (improvement suggestion from last year). Should there be two officers this year to direct traffic?
- Commission Santa
- Coordinate music

Assuming you are interested in Light Up Mt. Lookout 2007, we would like one key contact from both the MLBA and the Observatory to help in planning details. Please respond as soon as possible with these names.

Thank you for all of your help in making this tradition such a special event for Mount Lookout. If you have any questions, please contact the Mount Lookout Community Council Lumineria Committee.
